As
we all know, Tuesday (20. Apr. 2004) marked the 5th anniversery of the
Columbine killings. It also marked the anniversery of the "Gothic
Movement." Now you may be thinking to yourself, "What was the
Gothic Movement?" There really was no "Gothic Movement." It
was just something that the news media made up to get ratings.
Thanks to the liberal news media, as well as reporters such aas Dianne
Sawyer, Brian Ross, and Denver Police Cheif Steve Rickard, the "Gothic
Movement" was all that the news was talking about for the days
following the Columbine Massacre. Sure there were Goths (I'm one
of them. Do you see me killing anybody?), but the Columbine
killers were not Gothic. According to Matt Drudge (www.drudgereport.com),
who, in my opinion, is the only source of news that doesn't
sensationalize his stories, the Columbine killers were not influenced
by musicians such as Marilyn Manson, Ramstein, or KMFDM. They
only wore black trench coats because they "liked wearing them" (www.drudgereport.com Note: type "Goth" in the search engine. It's the only article there.). The report on 20/20 (columbine.free2host.net/links/goth.html)
is completely manufactured and false. Granted I cannot speak for
all of the Goths in the world, but most of them have not killed
before. Also, not all Goths dress in black. Other Gothic
colors include red, green, and even white. Goths are not usually
associated with death and the dark side. Most Goths are
Romantics. Goth gangs are really nonexistant. And another thing,
if anything Goths are against hate. These reporters and Cheif
Rickard ahould really have thought before they lert that piece of crap
air on TV. If Goths are made fun of because of the way we look,
then don't you think we wopuld sympathize with blacks, jews, and other
groups of people who have been discriminated against.
Would I
consider the Columbine killers martyrs? Definitely not!
Granted they spoke for the little guy, but they spoke out of
hate. I personally visited the website of one of the Columbine
killers before I typed this up (so don't think I didn't do my homework
first), and that website had a lot of references to Hitler, as well as
mentions of his hatred towards certain ethnic groups, as well as his
hatred for preps. Think about the date they performed the
attack. It was on Hitler's birthday. Doesn't that tell you
anything?
Now I'm not saying I support Michael Moore (even
though I found "Bowling for Columbine very funny for a "documentary"),
but I will say this. 20/20, ABC News, CNN, NBC News, and CBS News
is a ton of bullshit.
In sumation, the "Goth Movement" was just
a fabricated event made up by the liberal news media as a way to
attract viewers and get higher ratings. The Columbine killers did
what they did out of hatred for more than just popular people.
They were not Gothic. They did not deserve to be glorified, not
do they deserve martyr status. They were just two stupid kids,
who built up their anger too much, and snapped. If you are (or
